More and more people are turning to alternative methods to bring in some more much needed extra income, my one sister has emailed the family, shared her enthusiasm concerning her newest economic adventure with an online company that will assist her it the hosting of a silver jewelry home party. Campbell Soup Labels for Schools

My mother just emailed me asking me to turn in all of the Campbell Soup labels that I have been collecting since school let out last summer. My little sister is not doing very well in English and my mother just found out the her English teacher is offering extra credit to her students in trade for these money making soup labels. And since I will be making an appearance on Christmas day I might as well bring along the baggie that is overflowing with these soup cans that I use a lot of,

Schools are really hurting for money as well as most of the other important businesses these days, so I have no problem saving these labels and doing my part in helping in the many fundraising opportunities that they school have to offer. And if my little sister can get some extra credit for my effort, I’m all for it!

New Haircut

I got a new haircut the other day! A lot of my family and family friends like it, but all my friends my age don’t. They all say I look like a guy, haha. Although whether anyone likes it or not I don’t really care all that much! As long as I like it it’s all good. And I do!

Summer Vacation

This summer is half way over already and I’ve not had a summer vacation yet. I still sit around doing the same old, same old. I wish I could go to the beach for a whole week, like we used to do when I was kid. It takes a week away from everything to clear your head and forget all your problems with the real word. Then, when you come back home, those problems seem to be a lots less important and a lot easier to deal with.

New Puppy

I got a new puppy a few days ago and I’m really excited about it! He’s really cute and super playful. I named him Scooter because he’s a pug and pug’s breathe loud and he always has a burst of energy and runs. Scooter is twelve weeks old now and just wants to play, play, play, play, play! So adorable!!

South Park

One of my favorite television shows is South Park. I think it’s hilarious, but my mom doesn’t really like it. She says the characters talk too fast and that it can be inappropriate at times. I don’t disagree that it can be pretty inappropriate, but at the same time South Park isn’t made to be viewed by young children, which they tell you before the show starts. But she’s okay with me watching it, so that’s good! South Park makes fun of pretty much everything and always seems to make it gross or violent. Yet that’s why I love it so much! It’s a hilarious show, so if you’re not too young and have a good sense of humor, I’m sure you’d like it too!

School Needs This?

My sister called to chat and I asked her how my nephew is doing in school. Their school year started back in August and he will probably be getting a report card soon. He is in the 3rd grade this year and has a birthday coming up. We are so proud of our little man!

She told me about a recent homework assignment for reading. We used to call that subject English but I guess that is no longer politically correct. The assignment asked a lot of strange questions, such as how many books do you own? What is your public library card number? What is your favorite book and why?

It seems to me that the school should not be asking these types of questions. Why is it any of their business what a child’s library card number is? That is private information, and for that matter, so is the name of my favorite book.

Memories are Small Comfort

A good friend of mine got horrible news last night. His teenage son was in a car accident and was killed. That is the kind of thing you never ever want to deal with. What a shame to lose one so young and full of promise to someone else’s carelessness. No matter how a good a driver you are, you always have to watch out for the other idiots on the road with you.

My heart goes out to the family.

With the bad economy, we hardly ever eat out at restaurants anymore. We just can’t afford it like we used to.

The up side is that I am becoming a pretty good cook. At least I think so. And no one has refused to eat the dinners.
