Vh1 has really gotten me hooked on their hit series “Mob Wives” I am so happy that they decided to bring it back again, I just wish that I could watch it more often. Thank goodness for reruns, but still it isn’t the same as seeing it from beginning to end. Today’s episode was all about the newspaper headlines announcing that Renee’s of “Mob Wives” hubby is a Rat!

Stick A Fork In Me

Last night I couldn’t get my new cell phone to do anything. It just kept coming up as Emergency Phone Calls Only, but no matter what button I pushed I couldn’t get it to make a call or a text, emergency or not. I had to take the darn thing into the AT&T store this afternoon and have them take a look at it. Can you believe that all he did was take the battery out and the SIMS card out as well and blow it the back of the phone and then put it all back together again. Presto Magic!

Stupid Cell Phone

I just keep getting more and more frustrated with my new cell phone. I’ve read the instructions over and over and I’m bout ready to throw the darned thing out the window. I may have to stop by the AT&T store where I bought the darn thing at and ask them to help me with a few things that I just can’t find and some things that I can’t get rid of.

New Cell Phone

Well I finally said goodbye to Verizon and got myself on my sister’s family plan with AT&T. I am going to save so much money each month by switching over and I got a new phone to boot. So far so good but I am having issues with figuring out this new phone. It is totally different from my old one. I’ve been letting people know that I have a new phone and if they are trying to reach me and are not getting me to be patient. A few more weeks and I’ll be fine, I hope.

Leap Year Birthday Shout Out

I have two good friends that live worlds apart, don’t know each other but still have a common thread other than knowing me. They both had the luck to be born on February 29th which of course is known as Leap Year. This year I actually found that the Hallmark Stores carry a Leap Year birthday card, but only one mind you. And of course with my luck I got there too late, all sold out.

Now that I know that Hallmark makes such a card I will make sure to get there nice and early and actually be able to send them a real store bought (and Hallmark no doubt) birthday card for the first time. I always end up just shooting them an email or give them a call, now a days we have Facebook which is way cool.

Tonight’s Cooking Plans

Some new recipes have been nagging at me for attention, so tonight I decide to try a couple of them. I made a big batch of baked ziti, and for the meat sauce I used a mixture of ground beef and mild Italian sausage. It turned out great!

For dessert, I made a lemon meringue pie. The hard part was finding the beaters for my hand mixer. It looks wonderful, but we have to wait for it to cool before cutting into it. Can’t wait!

It is a website that you can mail in any postcard, home made or not, with your secret on it that gets posted for all to see. You see some pretty interesting, entertaining, disturbing and heartfelt secrets posted here folks, check it out sometime.

Black Out

I knew darn well that there were a ton of websites that were participating with the blackout in protest of the SOPA bill that is threatening so much of what we do online. Didn’t I feel stupid when I tried to help my daughter with a homework question and tried to find the answer on Wikipedia.com only to find it in the Blackout. Come to find out that there would have been a way to find the answer, but learn of it until later last night when it was on the news, sigh……

Bye-Bye Verizon

It has been a long two year relationship with Verizon, my current cell phone provider. I can’t wait for the end of November to get here so I can finally say “Goodbye and Good Riddance” to anything to do with Verizon once and for all. I have heard that there are several websites that you can do comparison shopping with numerous cell phone providers and their plans and their phones that they have to offer and I plan on spending some time here real soon looking for them and seeing if they can help me find the best deal possible for my wants and needs.

I have fallen in love with Edgar Allen Poe’s poetry. There are several other poets that I like, but something about the way Edgar Allen Poe writes seems to touch my very soul. It would have been amazing to know this man while he lived. I hope to write like that some day, with my own thoughts, of course.
